Pursue Psychology

  • Psychology majors desire to know why individuals behave and think the way they do. They often desire to accurately observe behaviors, empathetically connect with others, and grow in their self-awareness of their own mental health. This drive to connect with people equips psychology majors for people-centric careers.
  • Psychology courses require written and social skills, along with a desire to ask good questions. Elementary Statistics equips majors to analyze data sets (economic, population, etc.). Psychology majors will need to choose a secondary discipline along with their psychology courses to further inform their approach to the field.
  • This degree can be completed fully online or with a mix of on-campus and online courses.
  • GHC’s Psychology degree is a good first step toward a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. While there are available careers with an associate’s degree, many counseling/therapy careers will require a graduate degree.
