Pursue Nursing

  • Nursing majors are primarily interested in pursuing careers on the clinical side of the healthcare field. While every healthcare program and profession is different, students generally must be well-rounded as demonstrated by strong grades in prerequisite courses and minimum scores on the ATI TEAS exam.
  • Before being admitted to the Nursing program, Nursing majors need to focus on the required prerequisites for the program. GHC’s lab science prerequisite for Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology prepares students to understand how a college lab science works before taking these courses that form a crucial portion of their admission score.
  • This degree’s prerequisite core curriculum can be completed completely on campus, fully online, or a mix of both. Once accepted into the program, the NURS program level courses are only offered on campus.
  • GHC’s Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) offers a rewarding career foundation that can lead to diverse opportunities within healthcare. Graduates can further expand their horizons following their ASN degree by entering GHC’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, opening the door to even more advanced roles and specializations.
