Pursue Health Professions

  • Health Professions majors are primarily interested in pursuing careers on the clinical side of the medical field. While every medical program and profession is different, students generally must be well-rounded as demonstrated through letters of recommendation, internship/shadowing experience, and minimum scores on standardized tests.
  • Health Professions majors need to focus on the required prerequisites for their desired program. GHC’s lab science prerequisite for Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology prepares students to understand how a college lab science works before taking these courses that form a crucial portion of their admission score.
  • This degree can be completed completely on campus, fully online, or a mix of both
  • GHC’s Health Professions degree is a good first step toward any associates or bachelor’s degree in a medical field. By their second semester, students should already have an idea of their desired program to make sure they take the correct prerequisites as efficiently as possible.
