VPN Initial Setup Instructions
Note: GHC's VPN software may not be available for download at certain campus locations. Please contact IT (rt@highlands.edu) if you would like help getting this software installed and configured before planning to work off-site.
- Go to https://vpn.highlands.edu and log in using your existing network/email username and password.
- Upon successfully logging in with your SSO, you will be greeted with a portal displaying installers for each respective operating system’s installer of the GlobalProtect agent.
- For Windows users, you can check if you have a 32-bit or 64-bit version by navigating to the Windows Icon at the bottom left of your screen, right click and select “System,” then view “System type” in Device Specifications.

- Clicking on one of these options will prompt an install for the selected version. GlobalProtect’s installer has now been successfully downloaded! Click on the new file to run the installer package.

- Once you’ve installed the software on your personal device, there is no need to visit this page in the future unless you need to download and install the client software again on another device.
