*Summer Aid Application is NOW Available*

Summer Application is required for all forms of aid including  HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarships

The Business Office is responsible for issuing refunds and the Higher One card. You may contact the Office of Financial Aid or the Business Office by clicking on the “NEED HELP?” link below.

The Department of Student Financial Aid is here to assist you in the application process for all types of financial aid.  Financial Aid is available to eligible students in the form of grants, scholarships, loans and work programs.

To be considered for Federal and State financial aid, you must be admitted to Georgia Highlands College and complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid.  On the FAFSA, you should request that the information be sent to Georgia Highlands College. Our school code is 009507.

GHC Confidentiality

Georgia Highlands College complies with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act, also known as FERPA, which prohibits the release of educational records without student  permission.  FERPA states that the college, its agents, faculty, staff, and administrators are not allowed to share educational information with anyone (including parents and spouses) without the written authorization and consent of the student.

Walk-In Customer Service Confidentiality Policy

Students who wish to know specific information (i.e. types of awards and/or dollar amounts, etc.) about their financial aid records are required to provide the Financial Aid Department staff with their GHC ID Card.  Information concerning a student's file will not be released to a parent, spouse, or any other relative without the express written consent of the student.  You may, however, obtain specific information regarding your financial aid file by visiting your SCORE account.  We will accept photo identification for new students who are in the process of applying to GHC and have not received their ID Card.
