To register for eCoretm courses through Georgia ighlands College, you must be a student of Georgia Highlands College.
Georgia Highlands College and the University System of Georgia sometimes uses the COMPASS placement test to determine if an incoming student needs to take Learning Support courses before being allowed to take regular studies courses.
After your application to Georgia Highlands College is complete your records will be evaluated to determine if it is necessary for you to take the placement test in reading, English, or mathematics.
Students who test into Learning Support cannot take any eCoretm courses in the area in which they have the deficiency. For example, a student who tests into Math 0099, but has no deficiency in English can take eCore ENGL 1101. However, the student cannot take any eCore courses with a math prerequisite.
