How to be successful in an eCoretm course.

As you start an eCoretm course, you will realize that you must work individually to learn, but you are not alone! Ecoretm courses require that you communication with other students and your instructor.   However is its important that you develop good study habits, effectively manage your time, and motivate yourself to learn.

Here are some additional keys for success:
  1. Log on to the course site the first day of class.
  2. Buy your textbooks before the class starts.
  3. Log on to the course site at least once a day, five day of the week.
  4. Read the course syllabus, learn the class policies, and know the due dates,
  5. Review the class calendar and understand the due dates for all assignments
  6. You must pace yourself to do the work. Plan a regular time to study and be online.
  7. Stay current and on schedule.
  8. Email your instructor before the due date when you have questions about an assignment.
  9. Understand that your instructor expects to get questions from you and it is perfectly fine for you to email or call you instructor.
  10. Keep in mind that it may take 24 to 48 hours for your instructor to reply to your email.
  11. Due dates are the dues dates.  Regardless of the reason, asking for an extension does not mean that it is automatically given.
  12. Follow the 5-step for signing up to take the proctored tests.
  13. If you have questions, ask of your instructor or the eCore advisor.
  14. Know GHC and eCore policies.
