Pre-Nursing for Adult Students

Now you can take advantage of a program specifically designed for you as a working adult interested in a career in nursing. The Pre-Nursing Program allows working adults to complete the core classes needed to apply to the GHC registered nurse program. Offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, these classes have been reduced from the traditional sixteen-weeks to five-,six-, and eight-week courses to accelerate the ability to earn course credits.

 

Admissions Requirement (for this program)

  • A minimum age of 21

  • Proof of high school graduation or GED

  • 480 verbal SAT or 20 English ACT or Compass exemption scores

  • 440 math SAT or 18 math ACT or Compass exemption scores

  • At least two-years of significant full-time work experience

  • The GHC Certificate of Immunization form completed by a health care provider

 

Steps to Enrollment

Step 1 Apply to GHC and be admitted to the college
Step 2 Once admitted to the college, complete the application to the Pre-Nursing Program
Step 3 Participate in a personal interview for this program
Step 4 If admitted; participate in an orientation session for this program
