Assessment (Testing) Centers
Welcome new and current students. Georgia Highlands College has several Assessment and Testing Centers to serve our student population. The Assessment Centers are located on the Floyd campus and Cartersville campus. Testing is regularly scheduled at these centers. Testing services are also offered at our Douglasville, Marietta and Paulding instructional sites.
Students must pay any required testing fee at the business office or at one of the instructional sites prior to checking in to test.
A valid picture ID is required at check in for all testing at the Assessment Centers.
Tests and Testing Fees
Compass Placement Exam--Register on the web at https://discovery.highlands.edu:8888/pls/APPSTATUS/appl_status.login . Testing fee is $20.
Compass Exit Exam-Professor will notify the student and the testing coordinator of students in the class who are eligible to sit for exit exam. No fee is charged for this exam.
GHC eLearning Exams--Many eLearning professors use Assessment Center services for midterm and final exam administration. If your professor is using this service, register for your exams through SCORE. Once logged in, select Student Services, click Enroll in Online Class Test Session link and register for your preferred test session. Once registered you may print out a confirmation. There is no additional charge for these exams.
Independent Study Exams--Student contacts the Assessment Center coordinator at the preferred site to ask for a testing appointment. Testing fee is $25 per exam.
On-Campus SAT (formerly called ISAT)--Student registers by filling out the form and paying the testing fee at Accounting Services or Business office by the published deadline to register. Testing fee is $40.
Other--Testing fees are non-refundable.
